The Willows Approach

What Makes Us Different?

At Little Willows, our approach is rooted in a deep understanding of each child’s individual journey. We embrace a child-centred philosophy that combines the therapeutic principles of PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy) with holistic, nature-based learning inspired by Forest School practices. We see each child as a whole person, and we prioritise emotional safety and trust-building, providing gentle guidance that fosters resilience, confidence, and self-expression. Our nurturing team works closely with families to create individualised pathways for growth, drawing from the latest in child development, mental health support, and psycholudic (therapeutic play) research. By cultivating curiosity, respect, and a sense of belonging, we aim to empower children to explore their world freely, develop meaningful relationships, and thrive at their own unique pace.
